What is Multiplication?

Multiplication means adding the same number again and again.

Example:

3 × 4 = 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12

Multiplication Terms

  • Multiplicand → Number being multiplied (3)
  • Multiplier → How many times (4)
  • Product → Answer (12)

Easy Trick

Multiplication is repeated addition.

5 × 2 = 5 + 5 = 10
